Charoses
What you will need: • 6 medium apples • 1/2 -1 cup raisins • 1/ 2 teaspoon cinnamon • 1/2 cup chopped nuts • 1/4 cup white grape juice What to do: • peel and chop apples • add all ingrdients in bowl and mix well
Toasted Pumpkin Seeds
•Heres a great activity that has multiple lessons involved! We cut open the top of the pumpkins and the children each have an oppotunity to reach in a grab the "guts" we talk about how it feels, smells, etc. They each get a scoop on a paper plate and a bowl to put the seeds in. They fill the bowls with seeds and then wash them through a strainer. •Have the children spread out their seeds on a cooking sheet (spray cooking sheet ahead of time with cooking spray) • Spinkle salt on them, put in oven for about 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees..turning as needed until they are golden brown. Remove and cool.
Caramel Apples
Caramel Apples •caramel squares •Apples (one for each child) •chocolate morsels •Sprinkles •skewers (find at walmart/craft stores) •wax paper ~Melt the caramel in a saucepan (you can add milk to help thin it out) or use a croc pot. ~ Assist the children in dipping their apple in the caramel. ~Sprinkle with chocolate morsels or sprinkles before they dry! ~place on wax paper
Apple Pie Pockets
Make these simple apple pockets with Grands Biscuits. Press out dough with hands or rolling pin so the biscuit is flat and round. Add apple pie filling to one half of the circle (I used the Apple Pie filling they sell at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store) you can add cinnamon if it is not in the filling. Fold over the biscuit to form a "pocket" and pinch down the sides with your fingers or a fork to seal. Bake in oven on cookie sheet at 350 degrees until golden brown. Add a scoop of caramel ice cream and enjoy!
Butter
Butter Making butter is so much fun! This activity can tie in with "The Farm" theme or Thanksgiving. •1 Baby food jar for each child •Heavy cream ~Fill each childs jar 1/2 way and replace lid tightly ~Have the children shake until the cream becomes thick. ~refrigerate overnight and serve with rolls.

• 1 cup of pre-made blueberry flavored gelatin for each child • gummy fish What to do: ~ prepare the gelatin ahead of time in separate clear plastic cups (1 per child) ~ let children gently place fish into cup and enjoy Hint: for a carnival theme fill a clear plastic party bag with blueberry gelatin, place a orange gummy fish in the middle and tie bag shut with a ribbon. Looks like the fish in a bag you win at the carnival/fair.

What you need: • 8 Lemons • 6 cups water • 1 cup sugar • ice

Edible Valentine Craft
Make this cute edible craft by covering the top of a caramel rice cake with pink icing (mix white icing with pink food coloring) and add fruit shaped candies for eyes, nose and mouth.
Homemade Playdough!!
What you will need: • 7 cups of all purpose flour • 4 cups hot water • 1/4 cup vegetable oil • 3 tablespoons of cream of tarter • 3 cups of salt • several different colors of food coloring What to do: ~ Mix flour, cream of tarter and salt in a mixing bowl and mix ~ Add oil and water and knead (add flour to get softer dough) ~ divide playdough and knead a different food coloring into each. ~ store in container with lid or divide it up and put in ziploc bags for children to take home. Hint: if playdough dries out add water and knead through

Ants On A Log
Ants On A Log •Raisens •Celery or Pretzel logs •Peanut Butter (honey butter can be substituted if you cannot have peanut butter in your center) ~Give each child a piece of celery, raisens, and a spoon of peanut butter (child keeps their spoon of peanut butter to spread) on a paper plate. ~children spread the peanut butter on the celery and then top with raisens. Use cream cheese as alternative to peanut butter.
Dirt And Worm Cups
What You Need: • 4 cups milk • 2 packages instant chocolate pudding mix • 16 oz cool whip (in container) • 2 packages of chocolate sandwich cookies • gummy worms (2-3 per child) • clear plastic cups (1 per child) What to do: • In a gallon sized ziploc bag put cookies and allow kids to use a rolling pin to crush them into small pieces. (do the same for the other package of cookies) • In two seperate large mixing bowls make the pudding according to the the directions on package and allow to thicken. • Stir in 8 ounces of coolwhip and 1/2 of ONE bag of crushed cookies into each bowl of pudding and mix with a rubber scraper. • put 1 tablespoon of crushed cookies on the bottom of each cup, fill 3/4 of pudding mix, and then top with remainer of cookies. Add gummy worms and chill for about 1 hour.

What You Need: • 1 Cup Sugar • 1/2 cup Shortening • 2 Cups Flour • 2 Eggs • 1/2 tsp salt • 1/2 tsp cloves • 1 Cup applesauce • 1 tsp cinnamon • chocolate chips/Raisens • 1 tsp baking soda What To Do: • Mix 2 eggs, sugar, shortening,apple sauce and baking soda together • Add remainder of ingredients • Spoon onto a baking sheet • Cook at 400 degrees until golden brown
